Resources
Here are some websites that you might find useful:
Nebraska Firearms Owners Association
This is the largest organization that provides a voice for Nebraska's firearms owners. Whether through lobbying efforts in the Legislature, or providing education opportunities for firearms owners, the NFOA is standing up for our rights as gun owners.
LASR- Laser Activated Shot Reporter
If you want to be a better shooter, but you don't have time to be at the range every weekend, the best thing you can do is dryfire exercises. For the cost of several boxes of ammo, and a laser training aid of any type, you can get in thousands of trigger reps in your own home. I use a SIRT pistol, but any laser training aid will do. And, if you use the code NCCC10 you get 10% off ($108 instead of $120)
The Law of Self Defense
This is the link to the website. I read Andrew Branca's book by the same name this summer and it's my new recommend-to-everybody book. He does an excellent job covering both general knowledge of self defense laws, and specific state-by-state examples. I highly recommend the book!
The Tactical Professor
A good resource for training and current events.
The Cornered Cat
A site by Kathy Jackson, firearms trainer and author, mostly for women (but I've learned some valuable tips too). This is a must-see for women thinking about the concealed carry lifestyle.
Just Facts.com
"A resource for independent thinkers." This is where I go to find non-biased research on guns... crime, accidents, politics... you name it. For those of you that don't trust the NRA or "Everytown", this is where you'll find real information based on real research.
Massad Ayoob's Blog
Massad Ayoob is one of the top firearms trainers/experts in the country.
GunGoddess.com
Resource and shopping for women (and men).
Training Drills
I was asked at a class about some training drills, and I referenced a website called pistol-training.com
These drills will certainly push your marksmanship and speed to new levels. If you need to work on trigger control, look up the "wall drill."
